Lately, I've been on this kick. A kick where I try my hardest to "disconnect" from our world of e-communication. What would our world be like without cell phones, laptops, computers, etc.? Could some of us survive, or have some of us become so dependent on electronic devices that our world would fall apart without them for more than a day? I think that communication would suffer somewhat as far as our long-distance relationships with relatives and friends goes, but would this movement of eliminating these devices encourage more inter-personal communication among friends and family? I don't know. I highly doubt we'll ever revert back to the electronic-less days of our ancestors. In fact, I think only more devices and new inventions are to come.
