Driving to class today I took notice of the type of music I was listening. Maybe it's just me, but music for me is a big form of self-expression. Not that I actually create music, but I always have to listen to music that matches my mood. One glance at my playlist on my iPod and you would find all different kinds of music and songs that are assorted by topic and genre. I have my hip hop music for when I'm trying to get pumped for a game, or slow steady music for studying, I even have a playlist for the pool or beach when I just want to relax. Not only do I pay close attention the type of genre of music, but I am one of those people who pay extremely close attention to lyrics as well. I love songs where I can relate to what the artist is saying or feel passionate about the message they are trying to convey. It's interesting to think how theraputic something as simple as a song can be.
