I heart surprises

Many people love chocolate or rainy days or Brad Pitt, but my favorite thing is surprises. This past weekend it was my last CIT. I was spending time with a friend last Friday afternoon and planned to watch the first round game for the men at 3. One of my teammates called me and told me to hurry up and come to the game. I told her I would be there in a few seconds but the minutes quickly passed by and I got distracted. She kept texting me so I finally arrived to the gym around 3:45. The friend I rode with told me to look at the other end to wave to my family. First, I see my parents and grandparents twice a week because they come to all my games, and second, I didn't know why my friend cared that I waved to my family. Yet I obeyed her orders and I gave my family a half-hearted wave from the other end of the gym. But something wasn't right. Tyson, my oldest brother that I see once a year, was sitting in between my parents. I ran down the baseline and made a sharp turn on the sideline as the boys also ran up and down the floor. I had the urge to run straight across the floor but I have learned over the years how to control those strange impulses. I ran up the bleachers, jumped into my brother's arms, and started to cry. It was the best surprise I have ever had and wanted to share it with you all.
